I had a few questions. I am getting ready to do alot of rebuilding and i am price shopping for the parts i need. here are my questions

1.well i was looking at crower rods and i was wondering what the difference between brushed and pressed fit meant? as in this site:http://www.importperformancepa....html

2.Looking into bearings i noticed there are different sizes other than the standard. of course this can increase compression and/or lower it i was wonderin besides wear and tear and heat transfer what would be the main reason for going with the different sizes and what would you guys suggest as shown in this site:http://www.rocketindustries.co...it=20

3.I have a distributor for Wiseco pistons but its always good to show up with a part number. anyone know the part number for the 83.5bore forgies? i searched the site and the wiseco site and couldn't find it.

Thanks again guys!!

Ryan

For #2, bearing sizes have nothing to do with compression. It has to do with whether the crank journals are out of round and need to be reground by a machine shop. Also, don't go ordering ANYTHING before bringing the motor to a machine shop. Let them take the measurements and determine what you need.

I'm with Chris on this 100%. I don't know what brushed vs. pressed fit means. You're engine builder should know. I don't have the weisco pn, as most of us used CP pistons.
