Post

Hey all, long time lurker but decided to post up as I'm interested in purchasing a car soon.

Looking into a new G-coupe in the next couple months or so. Maybe sooner. Internet price for the G is telling me $36,xxx.

What is the going rate for a new G? Is it too unpractical to ask for $31-$32k these days with the market and the way the world is today?

I don't want to go back n forth with a salesman. I want to walk in with a firm price and if they can do it, great....if not, I will find another dealer.

Thanks in advance.

A month or so ago dealers had $3k dealer cash on coupes and pretty sure I could get one at invoice - the $3k. Could not imagine much has changed. What are you looking at? base, journey, sport?

If you're serious about buying a new G, we have other moderators that work for Nissan and can get VPP numbers.

Search this and the convertible forum for more info.

Probably just the base because I dont really need the extra options of the journey and I unfortunately need an auto for work. I'm in sales and drive alot. Dont wannt deal with the shifting in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Tell me more about this $3k. Not sure I fully understand.

If Joe has a way for you to get employee pricing and you are serious, then that would be the way to go!!

Dealer Cash works a little different than a Rebate. Dealer Cash comes off the price of the car so it helps you avoid taxes. Rebates are applied to the deal AFTER taxes have been calculated. A month or so ago I was talking to one of the salesmen I've known for a long time about the deals going on. He said there was $3k dealer cash on he coupes.

But, I would assume a VPP deal would be better than $3k BELOW Invoice if the $3K dealer cash was still in play. If I were in the market, I would be talking to Joe!! He just got a deal!!

Joe,Thank you for the link. I'm looking for Athens Blue with the black leather/aluminum interior. Where do I go about physically purchasing the car? Can it be at my closest dealer?

Here's some info on VPP:

Any dealer will honor VPP. You don't have to haggle with the salesmen.

I cant get a car for you, I just have a moderator who works for Nissan and can get VPP #'s. If you're serious about buying a new car, e-mail me.

I am serious about buying the G coupe but I have to figure out a couple things...

a) How much my car now is worthb) What I will walk out the door with using this program as oppose to dealing with an Infiniti salesman I personally know.

What is "Service: Plan B Pricing" and how much does it cost??

If the $3K dealer cash on 09's is still available, you should get the car for $35,344 or $38,544.9 out the door....plus the cost of that Service Plan thing

**EDIT**Sorry, I'm a tool. I skipped the part that reads "coupe"- this post is about a sedan.**EDIT**

Jim,I live in an area with only one Infinity dealer, and they are "No Hassle".They sell the cars at $300 over invoice. Add in the Regional $1500 CashBack, I was quoted OTD $40,183.66 ($100 document fee and 8.25%sales tax, and whatever for T&L) for a 2010 G37 Journey with Sport, Premium, and Nav packages. It also had the firstaid kit, trunk mats and net, and something else small.

I got this quote this week and am very happy with it, but it is still $1,000over what I can afford. Beautiful car! Wonderful dealership, after dealing withGerman Dealerships and their odd attitudes, it was refreshing to be treatedlike a normal person. Plus all of the Sales-folks knew the cars! It was a lot offun going on a test drive.

Hope this helps for a comparison, I am in San Antonio, Texas.
