Today i got bored and was with a few friends driving my J around and we found a nice straight road that looked like it would be fun to see how fast we could go. Then I had the brilliant idea of flooring it in reverse. Well....it started off fine...was fine at 20, then 30, until i hit 40. At this time i was angling off to the right and overcorrected my self and went off the road. Didnt do anything luckily...there was a big embankment with some bushes and stuff sticking out aobut a foot...luckily i only slammed into those bushes and not the ebankment. Anyway....dunno if anyone else has done it but it was fun unitl i slid into that and had to get out and make sure nothing happened to my car.

yep. going fast in reverse is tricky at first, trying to get used to the steering and all. me and my friend have been that bored so often he can go through our neighborhood in reverse in his '83 datsun pickup.

There's a reason that forklifts will only go so fast and that forklift operators are a skilled bunch. But I also know at least 4 guys that lost the use of their legs due to forklift accidents and none of them were due to the load, always got things turned around when over correcting and next thing they knew it was on top of them.

You're VERY lucky all you ended up with was a few scratches.

I use my spare car, a 1987 Cadilac Fleetwood, for crazy things like that!
