At first I didn't like the new bodystyle of the g-35 but I'm starting to come around. I'm currently leasing mine which expires in december 09.

Was thinking if I waited till the end of this year and tried to get an 08 the dealer would buy out my lease.. anyone have experience with that?

What kind of gas mileage are you guys getting with the new engines?

The main thing I like about the new g's is the much improved interior,as I think the 06 is plain and don't care for the orange dash lights.

Anyone gone from 06 to newer model? How do you like it?

btw: i have the 6mt and would be getting another manual, automatic is for wimps

I lease my Coupe as well. Actually when I had my 05 Coupe (leased) for 4 years... I was 2 years into my lease when my dealer called me and told me he would do a straight swap for an 07 for $100 less a month.

I was a lil skeptical at first. My guess was he had a buyer for my 05 and wanted to put me in an 07 because the 08's were starting to come in.

So I got a brand new car for less..

Now, in my earlier experience (I tried to get out of my Maxima) the dealer wanted almost 4k to break my 4yr lease (2 years left).

So it all depends on your dealer and your relationship with them. They may cut you a break or be complete d!ck and try to stick it to you.

Not sure if you guys have a leasebusters in the US..but that may be another option.

Good luck!

BTW...the 08's are smok'n!!!!

I haven't gone from an older sedan, but my G/F's father had an 03 sedan for a few years before I got my 08. IMO the new interior is a HUGE step up in quality and refinement. The gauges are gorgeous I think in the new cars. I think the new cars are a good improvement over the old one.

For gas mileage if I am hard on her, I get about 17 - 17.5. If I take it alittle easy, I get about 18.5 out of her. (That's pure city traffic with no higher than 55 mph for no more than 5 miles, normally 45 for a half mile then light etc. etc.) When I was commuting back and forth to school I would get about 22 combined but that was during my break in period. ( I was only getting 16 mpg city back then) I figure now when I start school back up I should be getting 24 - 25 mpg combined.
