As everyone knows, I have a t28 turbo, it's great fun in all, but from what I read, it's only good to 15 psi and 260ish horsepowers. I was thinking about upgrading it to a t3/t4 since I really wanna push 350. That would be perfect. Instead of wasting another grand for a manifold and turbo. I was thinking about getting the crower s3 cams, upgrading the fuel injectors to 550s, and of coarse the z32 maf. Any ideas? I installed my act clutch in yesturday and now awaiting for my metal headgasket. Would my safc be good enough to control the 550s?? I wanna max out the efficiency of my 28. I love the instant response.

As you said...it won't hit the ~350mark.

No matter what cams you run, or how much fuel you have...a T28 simply cannot flow enough air for ~350.

The compressor map of a T28 ends at ~32lbs/min...that'd be an ABSOLUTE max of 320 crank HP, maybe 272rwhp (assuming a ~15% loss).

I've seen a 270rwhp dyno from an S14 SR w/ T28...and that's the most it'll do.

...

ALSO - You need better timing control for more than ~240rwhp...so if you want bigger injectors, look into a JWT ECU, or something along those line. A stock ECU WILL cause the motor to blow at power level above ~250 or so...the timing curve is much to aggressive.

Even with 550s, Z32 MAF, SAFC, and nice cams, the turbo can only move so much air. Max boost would still be around 15psi and power would be the same 260whp.

You need a bigger turbo to get close to 350whp...

EDIT: Orion beat me to it. I had the reply window open for way too long...
