Just looking for some ideas on how to achive 400+whp with my 87 300zx n/a i will be putting a turbo on with costum manifold. should i go with t3 or t4 turbo, what kind of injectors should i use, full pump, fuel rail, and should i get a standalone fuel management system. i have a 240sx 60mm tb to put on. anything else that i should do?

How much money you got?

Call Jim Wolf:http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/

Tell them you want the JWT450 kit for a Z31.Give them your credit card number.Cost will be around $5,000 and you'll be about 450 RWHP.

GT35R or an equivilent turbo. some big injectors 720ccs? Custom Intake Mani with the 240sx TB Fuel pump, I would go with a APexi or HKS or Greddy engine management if you wanna stay somewhat affordable. Uhm a set of cams and maybe some head work. Depends what you mean by stock internals. i'd also do a really nice digital countdown timer cause your gonna use it.

I beieve the jwt 450 is rated at the crank, but if 400 whp is the goal, then you will definitely need 500cc or larger injectors, a custom rail will make souncing injectors a LOT easier!, and most likely a larger fuel pump, and you'll need a turbo that puts out 50 lbs/min or more, the T3O4E will do this, as well as a number of others, then you just gotta control it with romulator, remapped ECU stand alone etc, me I'm a megasquirt fan, the JWT kit is definitely the easiers, but not the cheapest, about $800 for a turbo, injectors rail's and pump figure another $800, intake exhaust and MSNS maybe another $800, you can build your wn system for half the JWT kit

The nice thing about 6 cylinders and injector sizing is that 1cc is close enough to 1hp that it doesn't matter.

for your power goals head and cams aren't needed, but if you want porting is always a good thing, and the more duration you can get on a turbo cam the better, as for the gt35r it flows 65 lbs/min, enough air for about 650 hp so yeah that'll do it

as fro managment, I have no experience with hks managment products, but it looks like the F-Com pro si a standalone where as the F-CON iS si a piggyback, either should work, I'd feel more comforatable with the greedy e-manage for a lot less money and more market saturation, and no you won't need a romulator in addition to the romulator is just a sit simpler than a piggyback ro stand alone as it works with your stock ecu
