The 240 has been parked all week because I am rebuilding one of the rear calipers and ordered stainless steel rear brake lines.....

This sucks, I want my 240 back. I miss everything sooo much!!! The feel of it, the sound of it, the stereo, the engine sound at WOT, the sound of chriping 245/45/17" tires in the back, ahhhhhhhhh

I have a '88 Chevy Cheyenne w/ the tree-fiddy as my daily now

I am going broke just putting gas in it.

I know exactly what you mean. My Max has been down at the transmission shop for 4 days now. I can't find a low miles transmission anywhere and I can't afford to rebuild right now. So I've been stuck driving a '95 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 putting less than 100hp to the wheels. and all the other unhappy faces. I'll be stuck with it until I can afford the rebuild. [repeat unhappy faces]

What year is your max and do you need a 5spd or auto? I have numerous friends w/ Maxima's and they are good at finding cheap stuff.......

i know how you guys feel, i went a month without driving the 240sx after i was rearended. and trying to work everything out

But the need for it got too much and i taped a red bag to my tailight to make it red again and sealed my hatch with some tape. i know this wasnt the best, but the car is totaled and im going to part it out once i work everything out with the insurance company.

so good luck with all you guys. i only lasted a month. and it fel sooo good to drive again

I can feel your pain. Mine has been out of commission for about three weeks.

Started off doing my rear brakes, found out a caliper was leaking and needed to replace it. Got two rear calipers, but wrong part (the E-brake lever was all wrong).

Got two new rear calipers and installed. Began to do stainless lines on the front...bleeder screw fused itself to the caliper. Said **** it and ordered two more front calipers (remans). Hopefully gonna finally finish this up this weekend.

The end result will be Hawk HPS pads, Brembo OE replacement rotors,SPL stainless lines and ATE Super Blue fluid.

I've been driving my fiance's 1991 Ford Escort...ahem.

I know how you all feel. Hopefully I won't break too many of my 3 nissans at one time. My 240 is down because of a crack inthe down pipe right now.

My 240 has been down for about 3 or 4 weeks... timing chain fix...

The real problem is that I can only work on it for a few hours on the weekend..

Yeah, me too. I don't have access to a garage on week days due to work, etc. The brake work is particularly difficult due to all the corrosion we've got in the NE. I'm just glad we didn't break any hard lines.

I got the 240 back up and running w/ a new rear caliper, stainless steel lines on the back, freshly repainted 300z calipers on the front (bling bling!!), and hopefully soon I'll get my dam greddy lip back from the paint shop and that will be put on. Man it felt nice to drive the 240 again.
