You know what the best part about this would be. The next thing someone would want to do to a KA would be twincharge it

Seriously, I have considered supercharging my KA since I got my 240. My plans so far are to relocate the battery to the trunk and build a 'cold air barrier' where the battery was and place the filter on that side. I'm looking at an Eaton M45. This would be placed on the intake side with outlet facing skyward. It would need a custom intake manifold(possibly carbon, have to think a little more on this).

And of course for everyone of my ideas there is always the more extreme version which would include ITBs(thanks to Panda and Devious polluting my mind with their projects).

I keep meaning to run by my brother's office and talk to one of the engineers that works there to see what he thinks.

Well my IAP kit is goign to be here next week. Now I can do to things.Fix convertible and have new paint, top, keg, and seats.Or can does this supercharger with new engine(low mile).Been looking at the eaton twin-screw type. One for the 3.6l......Although might be easier to use different style.

The A/C compressor just sits there at the bottom of the engine bay. I think that spot would be ideal. You already have a pulley, hell, you already have mounts... you'd just need to fab up an adaptor plate to use 'em. And you might as well run an intercooler, since you have to get the charge across the engine bay anyway. IMHO, if you could live without A/C, that'd be a good way to go.

Hmm, cold charge, relatively easy install, good power, why not?

I will say this about turbos... Nismo_Freak is right; in an automatic, the engine would hold boost between shifts. Not a bad prospect either. Also, you'd probably see more top-end gains from a turbocharger. But a supercharger is a great idea, and it's frustrating how many times people have tried to do it and just stopped. So go for it.
Considering that it now hits 100°F daily here, I am keeping the A/C.

A centrifical supercharger would be better for the motor, later boost onset, would make up for what the KA lacks in the high RPMs. Might be a little more than a turbo as far as price, since turbo kits for the KA are cheap(relatively speaking). A procharger with a 11lb pulley and good tuning could make 250whp, maybe more with header, exhaust and a ton of torque. The KA could definently take 11lb of boost on stock internals from a centrifical since the peak boost would be at redline when cylinder pressure is lower.

Correct me if I am wrong

I suggest a nicely built N/a KA

One it will keep you in a more competitive group, and two it will be a ton easier to drive fast in an Auto-X

250whp in a 240 at lower speeds just translates into wheel spin. Especially when you lack quick gear control.

I didn't read into his post.

Turbo - Depress the accelerator, full boost until you let off.

S/C (Cent.) - Depress the accelerator, variable boost per RPM.
