I'm planning on building a built KA24DET, and was curious to know what would be the best route about doing it. The rods are forged so I was thinking going with CP forged pistons, get the block cleaned up, machined, port and polish the head, completely rebuild the head, have the crank shaft balanced and polished, cryo treat the rods and maybe the block (not sure). I'm open to constructive suggestions only please.

Also....is there an aftermarket intake manifold for the KA24DET?

Do it once... Do it right...

As for me... I would replace the rods and pistons.

Cryo everything... before you machine it!

Even the turbo... I cyro'd my turbo... cost a total of $90 thats to take it apart... send it in and put it together...

If you have your engine all parted out... lable and baggy everything, keep a list and send it in fully disasimbled (sp?)

that my .02

Ohh and that place that does powder coatings on pistons... I would do that too...
