The GTR may be a great car from an engineering/performance standpoint, but the honest fact is, it's butt ugly. The front looks like a storm trooper with a stomach ache.

Seriously, look at a new G37 and compare that to the GTR. The front, and sides of the GTR are terrible. They would have been better off putting the hardware in a G37, and calling it a G38 and letting it go at that.

see, i think the GT-R is gorgeous just as the McLaren F1 was gorgeous. They are Form following Function. Run the GT-R mechanicals wth a G37 body and watch the car's rear end get squirrely at 120mph. The GT-R looks like it does because of what it does. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing.

Lola is far prettier than a GTR.

See i'm in the opposite camp...i don't like the look of the new g37...looks too much like the sedan and way to girly...it's lost it's agressive edge...the GTR comes in with a meanacing look that I personally like. Fact of the matter is though that the GTR is one amazing peice of slipstream machinery...it's much more aero than the 37 is at any speed.

I agree, the GTR looks hot! The G37 needs a different front bumper to look agressive...and a different rear.

I must say that I'm surprised that there was no ZR-1 for the test...maybe Chevy is a bit chicken...

They tried to get a new Vette and a new Viper. Chrysler and Chevy would not provide the car. They made the same chicken comment. Also, the Porsche was a mere 911, not the turbo as the price would have been too different. They allowed a $135,000 Audi A8, but not the Turbo 911. I would like to have seen a Ford Gt in the run too. Or a Super Saleen No real RWD high HP American muscle in the group.

This might have made a difference...

The saleen S7 is over 250k...at that point you might as well skip the 911 turbo and just throw in the gt2....They didn't throw in a ford GT or the saleen b/c they're no longer produced...they used all new modern production cars...

Fact of the matter is that there are only 2 american cars currently in production that could compete....z06 and viper...and both companies didn't want to compete. It's already been established that the GTR is faster than those anyways. They can't test the ZR1 b/c it's still not in production or availible for sale anywhere...
