Godzilla?

Okay, time to get real here. Is the skyline REALLY called godzilla in Japan? I hear about it, seems like all the time, but how would it even be used? Somebody please put it into context for me.

I'm going to go drive my godzilla.

Godzilla is the name they gave the R32 GT-R when it came out. It smoke everything on the track and was said to terrorise(sp?) like Godzilla. THe R32 was eventually banned in some racing leagues for being too friggin' awsome.

Ahh... so its not a commonly used term then, like calling a corvette a 'vette. (I know, its a shortened version, but it was the only thing I could come up with)

Man... I got beat by a Nissan Godzilla today... stupid.
