for 2400 plus whatever shipping is you could easily piece together your own kit of much higher quality

If you want a cheap turbo kit then look on ebay. That same kit sells for less than $1000. As long as you get a decent tune, the kit ebay kits are probably the most bang for the buck option for boosting a KA. The turbos are hit or miss, mine lasted a few months, others have lasted a few years. The manifolds used to be prone to cracking, I know the bottom mount t2 manifold has improved but I'm not sure about top mounts.

As long as you replace things as they break with quality parts and don't cheap out on tuning, there is nothing wrong with that setup. There's an ebay parts thread in the KA-T section if you're interested.

You should just buy quality stuff. That way, you won't have to pay twice.

i'd mostly be worried about the manifold cracking, for 2400, I'd rather piece together my own kit with a strong cast manifold.

But the manifold/turbo outlet pipe and the FMIC pipes look nicely done.

i think i have around 1300 in my kit so far, and all i really NEED is a downpipe and an IC kit......Garrett T3T04E(internally gated for the moment) Nistune Engine Management, STI 550cc injectors, Walbro fuel pump, JGS manifold and oil line kit, and a few other little knick kancks....oh and everything is new, i just found some great deals

that's how you do it

I would maybe just get the fmic and cold pipe from godspeed since that is just bolt on

Yep, my 240sx came with a godspeed intercooler kit on it, and it works just fine. However, normally I try to avoid godspeed. I would def go with the other guys input and piece a kit together. You could get a 2871r, injectors, cheap intercooler kit, and a tune for that cost.

I have had luck with a Godspeed intercooler kit on a CA18 but other than that i only trust name brands for turbos

I'd rather spend $1500 on an sr swap and $1000 more on parts for it than to spend $2400 on a turbo kit that might not last.

once again i find myself with my head in my hands staring blankly at this full greddy kit priced at just shy of 4 g'sreviews are telling my it's good for 450+ whp. w/ fmic (additional 990)

of course. i'm in Canada, and would have to ship here so with currency conversion when its all said and done im lookin at roughly 6 g's off the top of my head...

worth it?

take some time and piece it together, you will get WAY more for your money, so it may take a few months.....big deal, having half the money in a pieced together kit than you would in that GReddy kit and making the same power......doesnt take much thought for me....be patient, ive been piecing my stuff together for a year now and i may get it all installed by the end of may

really?see i could never buy misc turbo pieces for fear of they might not fit.that would kill me.so many things you have to factor in too. hood clearance, battery clearance, battery reloaction, intercooler clearance, intercooler fitment, manifold fitment, injector/fuel rail fitment, id b too nervous to do that unless i knew for sure it would fit.
