The rear mount doesn't even contour to the wheels well. No photos of the other mounting points. Godspeed is copy stuff. The copy what other engineer. Some of their stuff is fine, others I would't stay clear of. This is one for those things.

jdmwill is testing their coilovers and has said they are a great bang for the buck so far. I have their swaybars and other then the crappy paint they are nice.

But I would save for a Cusco, safety 21, or autopower bolt togethers, or a weld in type.

This cage is essentially a cusco/safety21 6 point dash escape copy. It might work fine.

It's a knock off of a Cusco style cage. The fitment might not be the same as a Cusco but that basically what it's copied from.

Odds are you want it for the look so buy it paint it some random color and love it. Also It'll probably have a chassis stiffening effect to some extent.

If you're concerned about safety then get the welds inspected thoroughly by a Welder or a Weld Inspector.

S&W cages are crap. They are way overpriced and won't pass tech for a 14 second drag car. They may pass for an unsanctioned drift event, but they don't even mount to the correct points in the car and don't come with plates.

If you want a weld-in cage, go with chassis engineering. I got my cage for $275 shipped for an 8-point that would have cost me twice as much from S&W, also, the certified NHRA shop that did my cage won't touch anything from S&W so that makes me stay FAR away from them.

What this guy said ^

Some of the old guys at the domestic shops would happily build a roll cage for 500 or less. At least that's how it is here in Maryland.

90% of the people who will put a cage in wont supplement it properly anyway

cage, helmet, harness, bucket seat.

all of those, all the time. or your rollcage is nothing more than something for you to hit your head on when you crash.

ViolentRunning13 has one of these cages in his car. They look good and fit surprisingly well. It is a Safety 21 copy, but overall I was very impressed.

back from the dead>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

any one have any reviews on this godspeed cage......opinions... i would think this would be a good cage for my dd with some track time in between.. i im by no means a hardcore racer nor drifter but i would think this would be better than nothing n u can always add harness/door bars right...

Don't cheap out of safety.
At the least get the Safety 21 cage, the one that Godspeed tried to copy.

A bad cage won't be better than nothing. You'll just be adding weight and wasting time.

I have an Autopower roll bar...which is a 4 point bolt in. Fitment is great, and theres an option so u can remove the middle bars. So u can still use the rear seats. Cost me around hmm 750? Plus shipping.

some say that bolt in cages are fine..there have been plenty of arguements for and against them...i dont trust bolt ins myself..i prefer a weld in with gussets and cross bars...why trust your life to a chinese made bolt that could fail at the worst possible time...the S&W kits are great and FIA rated..just sayin..good luck

i feel what ur saying razi, i also looked at the cusco/safety 21 cage and frsports got them for 600 buckx+shipping wich its not bad but upon reading on it both the cusco and the godspeed are made of 40mm seamless carbon steel but yet the godspeed is like 400 bucks so whats the difference other than the name brand.....i also look at the autopower but i do not want to cut true my dash nor door panels as it is my dd n i like for it to be comfty yet i like some of that riginest of the cage..hope u know what im saying..

Well, if you want to buy a safety product from a company that does no research or testing of their products, to save $200 bucks, go for it.

Nah, i might just get the cusco if not the autopower bolt on cage. I belive it doesnt go true the dash but might have to cut the doorpanels a bit.. also i w
as. Under the impression that godspeed does do some rd by now on their cages since they sell yhem on "the other site".

Edit; just found this on the cusco cage.

Good link!
Yeah, the curved design is nice, but the curve at the dash weakens it a lot.
As long as you don't roll multiple times are high speed you'll survive. :)
