Hello nico,
Quick question I have searched but maybe missed my answer. If I chose to run Godspeed smi could I take part of my turn signal out for the airflow? Or is there a place to buy aftermarket ducts. Thanks

Thank you for the reply I have looked for those for a long time and thought that they were discontinued. I've also try to search if you have to cut anything for the Godspeed side mounts to fit? My car is a daily driver and has 128k and I wanna have a nice quick RELIABLE car I was thinking side mounts down pipes test pipes cat back and I have a pop charger. Would any of these mods make a difference with out raising the boost and having ecu upgrade?

I don't think you have to cut anything to fit them...but even if you did, it's really not hard to cut something with a 30 dollar dremel from wal mart and a few cutoff wheels :) it would be easy to see what needs to be cut when you go to install them. I can promise you, it's not going to be something that you'd see from the outside anyway. I modified my front bumper to fit a stillen lip, it's easy to cut through with a dremel. I've also cut 1/4" steel plates with a heavy duty dremel wheel. Harder to do, not impossible, but definitely fun.

I'd say start by contacting godspeed directly and asking this question. When you get the answer, post it up here for future reference. And for my reference since i'm interested too.

If you don't have a dremel;
The beauty of it is, you can buy/use the dremel from walmart, buy cutoff wheels for like 5 bucks, then return the dremel when you're done. You don't know how many times I've done that when i was 16.5yrs old with no cash just fuxing s*** up. Buy it from a department store, not a hardware store....better chance of getting your money back when you return it seeing as they don't realize you can actually do this and get away with it at walmart.

Godspeed SMIC, they will fit, its tight but may even have to fab up your own brackets for them to fit. The only thing you need to change would be the front turn signals. Run without the signals give it direct airflow to the upper portion on the intercooler, just make sure you fab up some signals somewhere else.

If you have any other questions, let me know. I have been running them for 6 months with zero issues.

Do the fog light ducts and do something like this with the turn signal:

As goofy as that looks, That is a very ingenious idea. I kinda like it, plus you need to hack up the signal for it to fit and I do think you will get more airflow the way the pic is vs through the fog light ducts.

Are those from a 90/91 prelude?

Do both to get maximum airflow :biggrin:
If you are referring to the lights where the fog lights go, NO, those are EU spec driving/turn signal lights.

There have been issues with turn signal clearance on the Godspeed SMIC's. Often times it will rub against the wiring coming out the connector, sometimes causing a short...ironically that short caused my friend's Z32 to misfire. Oh, Z32's.... :rolleyes:
