So basically the P.O. had a 3" pipe with roughly 20 unpleasant welds, it had a real apexi n1 tip but its got a hole in the side and has a huge dent in the bottom.

Well I swapped motors and haven't got around to welding it back up, and found this EBAY Spec cat back for a "sr20"and was wondering if it does indeed fit the ka24de. Im pretty sure it does , I searched and found little specifics, a few yes's but I want some clarification before spending $200

^ This one, I Know I'm Poor

Will it fit up to my stock ka24de cat.?

the sr's and ka's all use the exact same exhaust. so it doesnt have to say ka24de cat back exhaust. it can be for an sr20 too.

Well I bought the exhaust , Im very disappointed which I expected. for $219 it came with a 2.5" dent in the tip. which the credited me $70 for. The Mid pipe hanger has nowhere to hang from or weld to, which is causing the part which bends under the differential to hang wayyyy too low. I know that its common for that bend to be low to the ground but I cant even weld it up because the exhaut tip is already touching against the the bumbers tow hook. Has anyone bought this same exhaust and had this problem or have I installed it wrong? I would take pics but i broke my camera phone. If anybody has pics of theirs I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Ok so my only idea is that maybe I put the mid pipe on upside down or something but I remeber thinking about that while installing the pipe to the cat, the only other way it connected would have the hanger pointing towards the ground and made the bend unable to fit into place, although now the hanger just chills pointing toward the lower control arm so IDK. im prettty pissed off about this, I fought over alot less than $200. any previous experience with s13 cat backs would be helpful.

First of all, you get what you pay for. Just throwing that out there. But, I have a HKS Hi power exhaust and it hung way too low to the ground. I ended up cutting the tow hook and used clamps on the rubber exhaust hanger-holder-things, this pulled it up closer to the bumper. Another thing I did, was had all bolts loose, jacked up that bend a bit, then torqued the bolts down. When you lower the jack, it won't sag nearly as much. That hanger that you claim has nothing to hold on to it, should. It should be facing towards the driver's side of your car, and there should be another rubber hanger-holder-thingy, line the one just before the can.

Let me know if you need any more help or clarification.

No i completely agree i got a $200 dollar exhaust, it was just to replace the ten peices of pipe welded together with leaks everywhere , but it was shaped right , I fear this one will get ripped off on a bump, and im aware of most 240sx cat backs being low to the ground but i've never seen one that bad. I'll try to get some pics of what im working with

maybe you should contact the seller and try to get an exchange...

I paid $120 for my 3" catback exhaust on ebay last July and it fit perfect.

ISIS ftw on cheap exhausts...my dual tip on the hatch AND my mb se on the coupe have hella clearance...
Cut the tow hook off for canister exhausts, that way you don't ding your s*** up when the exhaust gets bumped around and you can raise it up.
Gotta love the dual tip exhaust, tow hook clears great :p
Good luck.

I got a 3 inch cheap ebay exhaust do to your same issue, giant holes and rusted original exhaust so i just got like $120 exhaust off of ebay and it bolted right up gaskets and everything fit perfectly, looks good and does what i need till it gets replaced for a new motor setup.

Not all cheap exhaust suck but you really do get your money's worth its a hit or miss, some are good some arnt :lolling: . Me i lucked out just a sr20 test pipe and an s13 catback exhaust from the same ebay seller and it worked great. :yesnod

I have an EMUSA (cheap) exhaust that a friend with a shop (dealer) ordered for me. Less than $200 and it fits great. No complaints here. I had a dual N1 style catback from the speeddaddy seller that was waaay too low. I actually still have it chillin in the garage. The mid pipe res is HUGE. I would also recommend checking out the ISIS brand on Enjuku. http://www.enjukuracing.com/isis-single ... -8589.html

I decided to save up some money and go with a BRM's exhaust. Still haven't gotten it, but I'm expecting it to be well worth the money.
