How many of you can do 1/4 mile in 10 secs. Thats my goal. What do you guys think is possible. Full engine rebuild. What type of parts would you need. :chuckle:

I found this thread, but it has a lot of conflicting info in it. Some say the car can be still streetable some not. some say you just need to rebuild the engine with stonger parts ex: forge pistons. Others say you need a parachute. lmao Anyone know for for real?

some said you just need to be able to get 550 whp which is doable. Others say you need 650 and a aluminum frame. :rotfl

I was trolling because it's a pretty ridiculous question, no offense. You need big power, a solid drive line and sticky tires.

Dean's car has the EXP90 turbos. They. Are. Massive. And he's also got a built auto. So does Greg D, who runs 9s now.

Something like an RPS Carbon Carbon clutch would be ideal for a manual, as you can slip it and build boost on the line like an auto.

Micky Thompson ET Streets would do out back on stock TT wheels.

Big turbos, lots of fuel, lots of cooling and nerves of steel.

You should probably also look at a proper roll cage. Welded to your frame, it will increase your stability and add to safety at the same time.

Also, a big brake kit is probably in order. For, you know, stopping afterward...

if you're really serious, check track rules as well. I believe if you run under a 10.99 or something you MUST have a cage in the car.

I haven't looked at my tracks rules lately but I believe they require a cage for anything under 11 like stated and a chute for anything below 10.

Sweet, I have looked for this for some time and was going to mention it to the OP, even better to post the episode.

I have an uncle who runs a Nissan pickup with an RB setup (was also on Passtime) in it that runs in the low 10's as well, and like everyone mentions you need forged internals and a BIG turbo, probably a standalone as my uncle runs, and a cage and chute.
