Just looking for thoughts on a 240 I managed to find in my town that is for sale. I have a good daily driver and am looking for a project/drift car. Thoughts on this one?

According to the owner, the engine was recently rebuilt. The odometer says about 132K.

Abort abort I repeat abort mission!! theres no doors, no tires no bumpers or fenders. It looks like he parted most of it out, even for 100 bucks I don't think it's worth it. I would be to much of a hassel to even get it on a flat bed. Frame looks bent to.

When I talked to her about it, she was stating that it looked like it needed a lot of work and I noted that I don't really have a place to work on a car right now...which I do, but it's about 17 miles from our house.

While thinking about the reactions I was receiving about the current state of the car, I had this thought.

I did not express the goals that I had for this project, which included a Silvia front-end conversion, an SR20DET swap and possibly a 5-lug conversion.

With this information in mind, does everyone still have the same opinion?

you're northern.. check it for rust. also, eyeball the frame and see if it IS bent.

otherwise, i don't know why you wouldn't take a $100 shell.. if i'm not mistaken, the sheetmetal is worth that much in scrap.

IMOI would say to find one that has the majority of it's parts still Ie: Rolling shell.

If you have $$ to dish out then by all means go ahead...

i would do it. then look at it upclose and if its too bad for you sell it/part it out. it's $100 that is really easy to make back in the S13 word just byparting it out. or hell scrap metel is almost $400 a ton in some spots. you won't loose money.

Rust doesn't look too bad on it.

The owner is also the owner of a body shop. There was a frame pull done when they first got the car in.

I would say "No" but if $100 is nothing to you, buy it then scrap it, put that poor car to rest already.

Project aborted.

Here is my new FREE project car...1987 Ford Mustang

No, it's not a turbo.

I still have some more of the interior parts to get from the guy and extra exterior parts. Then possibly I will be buying a motor from him. Then next thing would just be the trans.

After it's running (and moving)...I might paint it.
