To Whom It May Concern,

For all of you who are thinking about getting a G35, I have some advice for you. Go and do it already. It is an amazing car and you will be very happy with your purchase. I'm sure you can get a pretty good deal on a used 2003 or 2004 model. Come on. You know you want a G35. All you have to do is go buy it. It's not that hard. Once you get one you'll wonder what kept you out of one for so long. Come on, give in to the peer pressure. Go out today and buy yourself a G35. It will be the best automotive decision you've ever made. I guarantee it.

Pleasant driving.

If you're not driving a G35, you should be.

after you get that G you will be happy. Then you will drive your friend's boosted 240sx and be even happier. So, go out and buy a 240sx. Then turbo that ka. You know you wanna. Do it. Do it.

I used to own a turbo 240. I love my G more. As much fun as the 240 was, the G does everything more comfortably. It's not as nimble (being some 600 lbs heavier), but it's still amazingly agile. It feels lighter than it is. Plus the G soes all this while being 100% legal where the 240 does not. And I have a nice warranty to go with it. Of course I pay a higher mothly payment with it too.

I also used to own a turboed 240.Loved the visceral experience, but then I went and bought an almost G35C ( a 350Z).

Like this much better than the 240.

Is it because you actually have some sort of climate control in this, and not to mention a complete interior

Not to diss your S13, it was golden.....

Why don't you have a G35 yet? Come on you're not going to live forever, so you better start living now and get yourself a G35.

Altiman,

Boosted 240 is nice. But think how nice boosted G35 would be. People at my 350z.com are making over 600whp at 14PSI !!!

There are at least 2 TT kits coming out with CARB exemption. And there's Stillen that is already exempt. I spent 4 years owning S14 and praying for any FI that would have CARB exemption - didn't happen. I'm a happy G35 sedan driver now and stashing money to add that nice R at the end of my engine code

Ryan, as soon as pay off my wife's 330i, I'm getting one. I'm tired of driving my heavy Q and it would be nice to have a more tossable car. 3 years. I was thinking of an M, but who want's to spend that much on a car. I will give into the peer pressure.

(Don't get me wrong with my comment here, 'cause I like the G35 a lot too and hope to get my wife one soon, but ... ) last year, I bought a new base-model M45 off the lot for less than what a G35 Coupe was gonna cost me. I have done a longer comparison between the two in the past ... please do a search for it!

Each car has its pros and cons. The smaller size of the G35 is what will make my wife happier (although she likes the M45 size and feel better than the Q45 I used to have).

Oh, I'm talking about the new M that's coming out. That car is beutiful. The current M is nice but what realy makes it nice is the price incentives. I just think that the G is going to be a better choise for me and the way I drive. I think I'll go with the lighter car. Now if I could only loose 50lbs.

I think the only thing that bothers me about buying the car is the speed. I would like it to be a tad bit faster coming out stock. I really didn't know how slow it was until I raced 2 350z's and i beat them from a 4th and 3rd gear run. but I guess what is attracting me is the look....2 more weeks and I shall join the G bandwagon

Woo Hoo. Good luck nnkfws333. Let us know how everything goes. Are you going coupe or sedan? You know that the 05 sports coupe comes with 295hp and 19" wheels, right.

Come one, come all; it's time for you to join us and get a G35.

There is nothing that compares to the coupe in that price range. It is hard to judge the M against the Coupe, two different cars altogether, I happen to like both for their own reasons. After owning the Coupe I can honestly say that there wouldn't be another car I would buy right now. I almost bought a 350z over the weekend, but for the money it just didn't have the creature comforts like the coupe. The Coupe has: better seats, better climate control interface, better radio, STEERING WHEEL RADIO CONTROLS (a must have!), better looks (arguable), better gauge display, less blind spots, softer ride, & less in cabin road noise. The car is second to none. I will have another, oh yes I will . ("Excellent" - M. Burns)

I was in the market for a G35 coupe so i went and tried one, however i must say i was kinda disappointed by the over all performance of the car i drove. i really liked the seats and the interior. this was a 2003 six speed coupe. however the handling, take of, power and all the feelings that is suppose to make this car a sports car was missing. now i dunno if the guy who had this had messed it up or what. the steering felt way too loose and the car did not feel like it was pushing 280hp. i drive a 330 and i get better take off and handling out of my 4door with about 55 less HP than i did from the G35 i drove. i really hope that all G35's are not like the one i drove. and certainly hope that the 2005's are alot better, if not then i am stuck with stupid german cars that i can't even modify.

Hmmm, sounds like the car may have had a few problems. The G35 is quicker and handles better than the 330. I did a pretty extensive amount of test driving cars when I was looking and was originally going to go with the 330, but once I got behind the wheel of the G, there really wasn't much comparrison. Maybe you should go drive another G.

Well I've noticed on my G35 that it's a smooth linear powerband which doesn't feel that kick in the pants feel but I know its going...heh...just used to my SR20 I had and miss the turbo spool up. I will say that the G35 is faster than a 330 but I wouldn't say it will beat it by a lot.

I think the handling part is a matter of opinion. My wife has a 03 330i and I've driven 2 G35x loaners when my Q has been in the shop. I think the 330 has sharper handling than the G35x. I don't know if the coupe is different, but as far as the sedan, the 330i is the one I want on a smooth, curvy road. The G does better on the bumpy roads where I live as the 330i can be a bit of a rattle box. As far as the quickness, I think both cars are on par. The G has more HP, but the Bimmer has less weight. If I would to get the car for me, I would get the G. For the money, the G makes more sense.

That is my plan . as soon as the 2005's are out i am gonna go and check them out. something being worng with the car was my first impression also. anyways it seems like nissan/infiniti has worked out lots of the bugs and made the car much better:-)

That's the way I look at it. There are average cars, better than average and below average. I think I was lucky enough to wind up with one of the better than average cars. They are all supposed to be the same, but it seems like each car drives a little differently. I have driven a few other G coupes and most seemed to be a little slower than mine while another seemed a little quicker than mine.

At this point, I agree with just waiting till the 05 comes out with the upgrades.

Keep us posted on your decision.

Looks very nice. I would buy one if I could afford one.
