Red:

Did you go with the willow or charcoal interior?

I always felt willow looks classier and Charcoal looks Sportier.

Now be sure to take part in the active Kentuckiana meets scene come spring!

i went with the charcoal for the exact reason you mentioned. i had the willow/tan in my maxima. i like the darker look for the sport and to make it easier to hide that stain that comes out of the blue.

Ill be there for the meets as work permits!

Alright, I see one problem with the G on Infiniti's website... why no AWD Coupe???!! Why no 6 Speed AWD Coupe??!?!?! My fiance and I will most likely be recieving a large sum of money within the next year *cough*, and I have the honor of purchasing a new car from it... as does she (she likes Altimas, and doesn't want to match lol) and of course, the G was the first thing that popped into my mind. But I am fairly disappointed now... an AWD 6spd Coupe would be a spectacular car, espically in New York weather (where I'm from, and will be going back as soon as I'm finished with school) but I guess I will settle for the 4 door, if someone can describe what the manual shift mode is like, or if it even is available on the AWD version (G35x I think?)

The G35X Sedan Auto tranny has a Tiptronic like feature and this 5 speed transmission can be shifted thru each gear by you.

You flip the stiock into manualmode and push it forward or backward depending wether you want to upshift or down shift.

BTW the G35 Auttranny is a strong tranny liften from the 340 hp, 4100 lbs Infiniti Q45 V* sedan, so we know it will stand up to a lot of hard driving in the much lighter G35.

I would love one. Perhaps when I graduate next year and get a real job, I'll get one and get the GReddy TT kit on it.

I have been mulling over selling both of my cars and picking up a G35 coupe...but considering I own both free and clear, and both run perfect, it's kind of hard to justify a new car payment right now.

I completely understand. I had a fully paid for, perfect running truck that I sold when i got my G. It was tough going to a car payment again, but it really wasn't that bad.

You have to do what makes you happy and if that is keeping to paid for cars and using the money for other fun things, then go for it. If that is buying a G35 and having car payments then do it.

All, I can really say is that I am happy with my decision to get the G and sell the truck. I since have bought a used Cherokee and I am still happy.

Yeah, I dunno...I'm kind of at a junction here.

The first car is a 2001 Camaro Z28, six-speed, real nice loaded car with only 27k on it. Although it's fast and looks great, to be honest sometimes I really don't enjoy driving it. It is heavy, crude and very difficult to work on. Plus I have lingering doubts about its future reliability (piston slap issues).

The second car is a '91 240SX HICAS edition, which I am within a month or two of putting an SR blacktop into...the thought of dumping $6-7k into a 13 year old car makes me wonder if I shouldn't just get a new Infiniti and can the project entirely.

Plus while having 2 cars is nice it's also a pain sometimes, inevitably one winds up gathering dust.

Bah!!! I don't know what to do. I guess I should go test drive a G35 coupe and see if I even like it, but I don't want to waste the salesman's time if I'm dithering about the whole thing. You know what I mean?

Go test drive the G. It doesn't hurt and you're not really wasting his time. That is what he is there for. You are looking at making a rather large investment in something. You must do your due diligence and research the car, that includes a test drive or two. It may help to make your decision for you.

I suppose you're right. My G/F is shopping for a new car too so she probably wouldn't mind a detour to Orlando Infiniti this weekend... She loves the G35 and thinks I should snag one.

I love the looks of the M45 also, but it's a bit too pricey for me.

I'm considering a G35 coupe 6mt.

Are there any major problems with the 2003 compared to the 2004 model? I got shafted once with buying a first year car - and I don't want to get shafted again.

BTW, the first year car is my present 1998 Volvo S70 T5 Auto.

Convince me you guys :-)

I've got an 03 and I have not really had any major issues that were an exclusive 03 issue. There is a grease smear that is a result of the arm that raises and lowers the window, but it is a quick dealer fix under warranty. I have had a few squeaks and rattles, but the dealer has been more than helpful in getting those isolated and taken care of. I am think that the grease streak was fixed for 04 and I also think that they changed the cd player in 04 to one that was slightly quicker than the one in the 03. There were no other changes that I can think of between the 2 years. Good luck and keep us posted.

1 more month till I get a G35 Coupe!!! But now my options are different - I'm going to attempt a 2005 model 6MT with sunroof. MSRP is $34.150 How low can I get them/how low will they go on a new one? I need your experiences cause if I can get them to the low $32 range or high $31 then I can do it! Anyone? just a little feedback will be the greatest help.

look on Autotrader. I've seen some 2004's for $27 and $27.5 on there which I think is funny cause they are the same prices as the 2003 models!!! But then again it makes me wonder a little

That's about right. There has been very little depreciation in the coupes since they have been out. I would suspect that you could find an 03 auto coupe with around 30-40k miles for about 25k. 6mt with fewer miles will run closer to the 30k price.

I suspect there will not be alot of negotiating price down. There is a fairly high demand for the 6mt coupe. I would say you may be able to get one for around 33-34k, but not less than that. Auto coupes and sedans you would have a better chance of getting for less. I assume you are not including the nav with that.

If I ever meet you I order you to give me a ride in it. Or you can ride in the M3...
