So as most of you guys know, I blew my T3/TO4E up do to lack of lubrication. I ordered a rebuild kit to fix it. So I'm sitting here wading through all the spare parts I have. When I see this big chunk of metal sitting on the shelf, I think, what the hell is that. Well it's a TO4 flange I ordered 2 years ago. So I grin and the smaller devil on my left shoulder(the big devil sits on the right side) says to me "Brian WTF are you waiting for?''

Well he woke up the big guy on the right side who then talked me into seeing if the GT40 I have in the garage would fit under the hood if I modified the current manifold. It just so happens if I cut the T3 flange off and did some creative welding I can make the GT40 fit. The little devil then mentions that I have the downpipe from my Skyline sitting in the corner still, waiting to be moddified to fit the 240. He mumbles somthing about destiny, and why he made me bring these parts back with me from Japan.

I already had this turbo on my RB20 when I was in Japan, so I know it will pull your teeth out on boost. I think to myself, it'll be laggy I bet. Unfortunatly, the devils can read my thoughts. The bigger devil speaks up again, "Brian, think about it as a way to get better gas mileage when your off boost!!" Sounded good to me...In fact, if I didn't have to work today, I'd be out there with the chop saw right now.

SO what do you guys think? Sell the T3/TO4E when I rebuild it for a couple hundred bucks and slap on the GT40 or rebuild and reinstall the T3/TO4E.

Here's the specs on the GT40Compressor side, 60 trim compressor wheel, 60-1 compressor housing

Exhaust side:Stg III wheel with a .81 AR

There's always N2O for antilag!!!

Well my parents are selling the house and moving out to PA. MA is going down the sh!tter as of late. Taxes are to high, the big dig is taking all the money for the public roads. MA is actually the only state in the union that is actually losing population...go figure. Kerry is a retard.

I visit once a year or so, you can't beat the seafood.

hahah so what is this, an exercise in how quickly you can blow up that stock motor of yours? We are all already aware of the fact that you lack the self control to "stay reasonable" and keep the boost down, especially on a big ol turbo like this one... those devils on your shoulder wont stop until your poor stock KA is toast!! Haha so whats the plan with this then, throw a gigantic turbo on this engine and get crazy, or throw your hands up and actually build the motor like you should have in the first place?

lol I noticed that with all these changes and "freebie" turbos coming into the mix, our little competition here is seeming less and less like "big $ versus small $ shadetree DIY build." Why dont you just suck it up and come over to the dark side... spending money is fun!

haha that said, f**kin a man-- go for it! I dont know why this wasnt in the plans in the first place!

...and get a digi camera for gods sake

For the price of the disposables and developing you will have been able to pay a down payment on a digi camera. That got some for like $120.It will be plenty for taking shots like this. But mine as well spend that extra 100 and get one that you will like and can use at family events.Come on man break down and get a good one.I just bought the dx7440 it's great.Cost 323 with shipping and came with a 256mb card. There is a whole lot of better deals and brands out there but I liked this one.

well if you could deal with the lag on a 2.0 RB, it should definitly be more livable when its bolted up to a 2.4 liter. i'm sure you'll get over, plus your right devil is right. its easier to keep off boost, and the gas prices are projected to hit over $3.00 a gallon by the summer.

Go Fu^&(^(*^&^&^%&%%...I just bought $2900 worth of new furniture for my house, I bought the fastest quad on the planet last month, I have 4 cars, 2 of which cost more then $20,000 a piece, I have a $1200 mortgage payment and a ton of blue collar credit card bills.

You guys are getting disposable pics and you'll be thankful.

In case you haven't figured it out, I don't do anything cheap or slow. SO a cheapo camera isn't going to work. I want one that does 20 minutes worth of decent video and will still take 1000 bazzilion megapixel shots.

But thanks for the tips....lol.

Yeah, i'll give it about 6 seconds when it's running 20psi.

I considered going with a smaller turbo (T3 from a R33) first just to set everything up and get it running well, but then i thought that would be a waste of money.
