I've searched and only found one post about it but no one back the guy up saying he was right.

I don't really know much about transmission fluid. Is the GM Syncromesh good to use on the SR? If it's not ,would Redline (all the searches results about transmission fluid, everyone talked about Redline) be something I would probably have to order over the net or could I pick it up from Napa?

Also, I read that 2.5 quarts is how much transmission fluid it holds, is this true?

Syncromesh is ok. Redline is good stuff and relatively easy to find. Personally I'd rather go with Motul motylgear though. I found it to be smoother than the redline. You got it at 2.5L

GM made my transmission shift like a rock...grinded in every gear...switched back over to Royal Purple and it was all good again.

On my new s13 I'm using Redline MT-90 and it makes my transmission run unusually hot. Never had a problem with Royal Purple...same heat issue from transmission with GM Synchromesh. Mobil 1 worked good!

Yeah I'm using redline MT90 and my transmission runs hot as well, but the fluid works great as far as I can tell....Maybe I'll switch to Royal purple and give that a shot.
