I am tossing arround the idea of going with the ignition system from either an LS1 or one of the several GM wastespark ignitions.

i am still looking into the benefits of wastesparks, although it seems the only real benefit would be space saving.

the benefit to the LS1 coils is that they have built in ignitors.

either way i have to adjust the dwell up to 5 or 6.

does anyone have any recommendations, comments, or experience on what i am going to try to do?

also, any recommendations on a cheap way to update the dwell on my ecu chips?

I looked into it and there is no way that I found to update the chip in the ecu for the dwell. There are lots of benefits to using the ls1 coils, they are cheap, available at any parts store or junkyard, you can mount them in the location that you want them. You can run a haltech or a megaaquirt or any standalone that has dwell setting. I am going to run a megasquirt.

I am already running a enthalpy tune. so I have options when it comes to changing my ecu program. I just need to know what the address is for the dwell map setting and it can be changed.
