You know that little rubber pad on the floorboard, to the right of the brake, just under the parking brake? Mine fell off. What's the best glue to put it back on with? It looks like it had some sort of white glue just around the edge - at least that's the residue left on my carpet.

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Mine fell off a while back and I haven't bothered to glue it back on. When I do it I'll just use some 3M contact glue. It's spray on stuff that I use for carpeting speaker boxes and applying vinyl to custom panels. Should work fine. Just spray an even coat on both surfaces, what a bit until tacky and press it on.

Oh sure hijack my thread. JK I might be able to find you a pad. I'm headed to a boneyard this weekend. I'll let you know. Now, when you get it how ya gonna attach it?

Mine fell off 3-4 years ago and I just used double sided foam tape applied where the original residue remained{before I cleaned it off} has held up perfectly so far!

Go to the craft section of Wal Mart and find a tube of E6000 adhesive. You can also order it on ebay but Wal Mart is cheaper. This is absolutely some of the most tenacious glue out there. And perfect for porous materials like carpet. I've used it to repair leather car seats with good results. Once you get used to having this product around you can't do without it. It's really thick - like caulk. When I've needed it to glue finer pieces I dunk the tube in hot water to loosen it up some. If you find some of these rubber carpet pads, I need 3 - white or black would do.

LOL!

E6000! Got a tube in my hand right now. I use it to modify jewelry. You should be able to find it in any crafts store - didn't know Wal-Mart had it. It's a thick styrene-based glue that remains somewhat flexible after it dries. I bet a call to a carpet store or interior detailer would get you a more appropriate adhesive, though.

E6000 is insane. You can get it at fabric stores.

Have a well-ventilated workspace, or you WILL get high.
