Hi all,

I was trying to fix a EVAP code and try to remove the evap valve to the canister and clean it. Here was the original article I was reading- p1456-solved-t560149.html

Unfortunately, I also shear the bolt off the evap valve from the canister. My question is - is it possible just to glue it back together with some RTV and tie it with some wires? Instead of buying new canister and valve. How much pressure there is at the EVAP valve and vapor canister?

Thought?

Ken

i had the same issue. i just went and bought some blue rtv silicone from autozone .
hasnt given me a issue since. its been over four years ago.
make sure you clean the whole area with alcohol, wipe it down first. make sure you dont have to drive anywhere overnight
so that the silicone can cure
