OK, so I replaced the cabin filter and cannot figure out the easy way to reinstall the damper string. Tight string, tight access, big hands. Help

It was a PITA the first time i took it off to replace the filter but i got the hang of it on the second time and now it is super easy. Lift your glovebox up with the left side "Side of that strap" up a lil more. latch that cable back and slide the pins back in place. First time it took me like 30 mins and now i can do it in about 10 min

Yep, takes many attempts lol. Every time I have to do the filter I dread it haha.

It's a bit of a PITA - the thing that challenged me was aligning all of the tabs properly after everything was buttoned back up. I'd think i'd have it all aligned, i'd have the damper connected no problem, i'd go to close the latch and the glovebox would drop right back down lol. After a few tries I got it and it was fine. Just takes some patience and practice.

After a bit, I figured I needed slender fingers to hold the string extended with slack hmmmm eureka!!! I found my 12" clamp/hemostat in my tool box a seconds later … installed!!
