Today I wanted to swap out the cabin filter with a new one. So I started removing my documents out the glove box but received a call and was distracted with the call that i closed the door. After finishing the call I tried opening it and would not open. I want to know if there's a way to open without damaging the glove box?

If it's stuck because of something caught between the striker and latch, all you can do is cross your fingers and force it. The upper glove box screws are all underneath the door, so there's no way to access them. First, try prying gently on the door while compressing the latch. If it's a paper-jam then chances are the latch didn't fully seat, so the door is just stuck. If the latch did seat, cross your toes too and force it.

I tried working it but noticed that maybe the latch may be broken.

If it's busted, there isn't much you can do besides get out your Dremel or air cutter and try not to make a mess. Don't try to just break it, usually you'll deform the striker and end up adding insult to injury.

Thats true. Ill figure it out a method.

Great news i was able to open it but did some damage to it but may need to diagram to rebuild it.

I wonder if you tried the key in the lock before you pried it open...

I did but it was already unlocked. I feel something inside just gave out.
