glove box light

my glove box light is constantly on. i can tell because if i stare at it at the right angle during night time, i see a lit crack where the light escapes. this is just a small annoyance, but one that i feel i shouldn't have on a car with such a high price tag. is the light supposed to be constantly on? if so, i guess i'll have to adhere something to fill the crack and hide the light.

i'm not sure what a actually controls the glove box light switch...i think its supposed to be on when u turn on the parking lights...i actually think it may stay on...but not 100% sure...never really noticed it
