I recently bought a 08 m35x and just noticed that the glove box damper is missing. I reached in behind the glove box panel and couldn't feel the spring piece that is screwed down. It's a real bummer because the glove box drops like a sack o' hammers when opened - fast, loud, and awkward. This is especially bad when a member of the fairer sex is sitting in the passenger seat.

Anyway, where can I get a glove box damper? Are there other Nissan/Infiniti (or even other manufacturers) dampers that can fit the m35x, even if not perfectly? Perhaps someone on this forum has one? My searches on ebay and a few various Infiniti parts sites have turned up nothing. I have seen a couple Q50 dampers that look very similar and have 3 screw holes (maybe a compatible part?). Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
