I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. I would like to add a 1997 Gloria front end to my 1999 Q. It seems they are both the Y33 chassis, so my questions are these:

1. Would this be a bolt on swap?

2. Does anyone know who might import the necessary parts to the U.S.? I'd be fine with a front end cut, individual pieces, etc.

Hopefully Grant will see this and can help you out. I checked out Panda Garage and it looks as though they only offer president conversions for the G50. Looks like some research is in order.

I've looked on every E-bay whose language I speak, and still nothing. What countries did the Cedric/Gloria get shipped to? I've seen the cars for sale in New Zealand and a few seem to have snuck in to Canada, but no one has parts for sale. I checked my local JDM front end cut guys, and they can't/won't get anything that isn't super popular (s13 stuff, skylin bits, etc.)It looks like I'd have to buy a whole car to convert the front end, and that seems like more trouble than it's worth. I dig the way my Q looks as is, I just like the Gloria GT front clip more. Ah, well. I'll keep digging and hope for guidance. Thanks!

No problem. You need to just go ahead and get the whole car, RHD and all. Good luck!

If it goes that route, I'll have to wait till I can find one with all wheel drive, too. Because what the world needs is an Infiniti Q45 GT-R.

Not sure if anyone is watching, but here's an update for all you VIP conversion minded individuals out there. I've located a company in Canada called JDM Import Cars. At this point, they've only been importing cars (1993 and previous based on Canadian 15 years or older import policy) and some parts. Kevin (the representative I've been e-mailing) indicated that they are looking to expand their parts importation business. I'll keep a running update as to what becomes available.

What all is involved, then? It looks as though the fenders would line up, for a start. If you started with a complete front clip, I can't imagine it being horrific. Not easy, but then what worth doing is.

Ok. THAT shouldn't be too hard at all. It's what, the grille, badging... Unless you try to do the interior/RHD bits. Cima's the same car, based on my research. Anyway, I got an email back from my guy at JDMIC, Kevin. He's got a 92/93 Gloria parts car. He can be reached at [email protected].

The only similarities they share is the chassi code.

we are looking to convert a 1995 Gloria from RHD to LHDnow the q is: is the Infiniti Q45 frame the same as the Y33 Gloria's?we need the steering house, complete firewall, dash, whiper & motor setup of course, master cilinder & all that. If necessary we would reshape things like the dash or firewall yet a perfect fit would be perfect LOL

any1 got info on this? we think 1995 Y33 should be the same as Infiniti Q45 1996 up, according to coding

tx, & greetings from AMsterdam, Holland

I guess you are looking to do this conversion for the same reasons we would love to have a RHD here in the states. Doing this with a 240 is a somewhat simple task. I would look for the LHD parts on Yahoo! or eBay.

I beg your pardon? sh*t you said?

In the Netherlands a very good shop, suprasport.nl, does do conversions of Skyline's and the results are just fine. I am asking info on a specific car, the Gloria, that as far as we can see shares its platfrom with the Q45. We try to gather info on measurements of specific car parts, like dash & firewall, then would have those shipped in as Q45 is a rare car in Europe. So we want to be sure that those parts are helpful & fitting.

If all your 3000+ posts are of this quality I wonder what your contribution here is all about....

Grant is a little cocky, but has mentioned to you that the conversion is inept. Both of you play nice.

I apologize that we have not been of much assistance, but when there is little call for this conversion, especially in the states, it's hard to get helpful and accurate information.
