hey im having some slight issues with my dads Glock17 RTF he just picked up. its shooting slightly left. i thought i was the only one having this issue, and asked my dad to try it. slightly left as well. then i asked the range master to try it. he shot one shot at 5yards and BAM - way left. they didnt have anyone to adjust the site that day, so after a couple hundred rounds, i left.

so today i went to the range, and once inside i asked the guy behind the counter and he said the sights are dead on. took a box of rounds, and went to the range. again, slightly left. we went through a box of 50, and between me, another range master, and the guy behind the counter = all slightly left.

WTF?

So i ended up leaving the gun there for the glock armor to take a look at it and have his input.

PS: before i get the "all glocks do this" comments, i purposely took a rental and shot dead on. i have been shooting glocks for some time, and have not come across this problem before.

this is todays test shooting i did at 5yards. at this distance, its the most accurate. bring it 7, or farther = and its all left from there.

this is a glock 17 rental from the range. I did 50 rounds, at 7yards, with 5 reloads. its pretty dead on if you ask me. the grouping isnt great, but that would be all my fault here. i could NEVER get this type of accuracy at 7yards from my glock17 RTF. my glock would end up sending everything at least 2inches LEFT on this target.

If it's grouping tight to the left the sights need to be adjusted. While you are hitting the center circle at 5 yards, it's still to the left. it's going to keep moving left the further back you go.

You have one guy saying they are on, seral shooter that demonstrate it isn't. Have the armorer tweak you sights.

adjusting the sights from 100% perfect, dead on - to fix a left grouping issue, the problem is still there no?
Example: if my steering wheel is 100% straight, but the car pulls left; simply adjusting the steering wheel wont help - there is an underlining problem thats not being fixed. and in my guns case, that could be a slightly twisted frame on the gun.

adjusting the sights is all i wanted to do, but then got to thinking if its something more, the gun was used after-all :-/

You could try putting your slide on another frame and see.

thanks homie, thats an awesome idea.
i will see what they say at the store. they might end up wanting to ship it back to glock. if the armorer states nothing is wrong, i will deff ask to take my upper and mount it on a rental and try both to see who's shooting left now. If the rental is shooting left, then its my upper(slide/barel/spring). if the rental is shooting straight, then its my frame.
