hey guys,

i want ur opinion cause im not sure about this one. do you think a glasspack would sound horible by itself on an s13...jsut that off of the cat with 2 and a half inch piping all the way back? i think it might be a little too loud. my friend just got one on his camaro, but thats a freakin 350 v8. my 2nd option is my friend has an apexi exaust off of his prelude. it is a semi true duel, so i could only part it because there is no way u can have duels on a 240. it might be a little ricey, but its a cheap exaust rihgt?

thanx for ur opinions. does anyone have links to theirs?

The glasspacks are just gonna sound stupid and That prelude exhaust won't even come close to being tru duels, not even semi, since the prelude is an inline 4 cylinder. If hes running Apexi N1 Duel that has 2 mufflers you should be able to at least use his muffler, and if hes running 2 single mufflers and had them made into duals you can just use 1 of his mufflers.

BTW, Please shrink your sig, its freaking huge and theres no need for 2 pictures. I'm also hoping that in that last picture you put the needle there by hand and didn't just have the car in neutral and rev it that high while the motor was cold. Your car has 212k miles and doing stuff like that isn't going to help it live much longer.

Buy an exhaust system made for your car. Or make one that will fit your car.

You asked for an opinion on your glasspack idea and I gave you one saying it would sound stupid. I also told you how you could use your friends exhaust system wheter it was a tru N1 dual or if it was 2 seperate mufflers. SO I gave you exactly what you asked for.

As for asking you to shrink your sig its as a courtosy for everyone not running a high bandwidth connection, or at the least just one picture would be significant.

As for me hoping you didn't rev a high milage engine that high while it was cold, I was just trying to give you some friendly advice so you don't kill your car prematurely.

I'm sorry if you took my comments/opinions/info as "cuts" on you, I'm just trying to prevent you from doing something that could cause problems.

Glasspack is just to make noise, are you at all concerned about producing power?

To be true dual you've gotta have a V motor with 2 headers. Anyway, true dual isnt all that great, dual with an x pipe is the best. My towncar has true dual :) My 240s have Dual N1s, which just splits into 2 pipes 1/2 way down. I like them because they give a bit of back pressure without being huge pipes and give you the good flow when it seperates into 2. But it's impossible to have a true dual in a inline motor.

You can get a cat-back exhaust for like 80 bucks, should you provide a muffler and all. If you're worried aobut ricy sound, opt for a resonator. I would, but I don't have that kind of money, I just put the silencer on that fart can. It doesn't make that obnoxious sound til about 4 grand.

I have a 5zigen exhaust put on by a local muffler shop. When I first started my car and drove down the road and heard the muffler I was like "oh noes my car sounds like ***" but after the stuff in the pipe cleared and it heated up I LOVED the sound it made. KA's just have a certain...sound to them that I LOVE.

glass packs muffle the sound. just wanted to make that clear.
