So after I got my new rotors and pads put on my steering wheel has been vibrating pretty bad between 60-70mph. At first i thought i bent my grotesquely big rim. Then i jacked up my car, spun the wheels and saw nothing bent and no bubbles in the tires. So im guessing that maybe my wheels need to be balanced. Any other opinions? I dont think it would be an alignment because it drive pretty strait

Make sure your driveshaft is good and snug.

Yeah it wouldn't hurt to balance the wheels. You might have gotten a bad set of rotors. Possibly warped. If the vibration is worse during braking then thats probably what it is. If it just wobbles at high speeds it could be alot of things. Def check that Drive shaft and carrier mount tho. You don't have fix a flat in your tires do you? That craps the devil. I've had many a wrecks on my fourwheeler due to that junk. It balls up inside the tire making an unpredictable and explosive wobble. Not to fun going down a hill.

Ya, the vibration is really only between 60-70 and a little bit at higher speeds. Its not bad at all during braking.

did you tourque your lugs in a "star" pattern, and did you break them inhttp://www.stoptech.com/faq/data/faq7.htmlhttp ... ep...h.htm

if the vibe is in the steering wheel, it is something with your front wheels/rotors

If you just had your brakes put on give it at least 100 miles to break the new pads in. How are your wheel bearings??

Sounds like a wheel balance issue. That should be inexpensive to have checked.

if your wheels are aftermarket you need hub-centric spacers. wheels arent built specifically for your car, so they dont sit flush with the hubs. you are running lugcentric which causes vibration, like an un-balanced wheel. go to http://www.wheelmax.com and they have a better explaination.

try balancing your drive shaft with a couple of hose clamps and use the screw part as the weight. the weight on it before probobly flew off, see if you can see an imprint of it
