A new transmission, new doors, straighten the pillars, bumper covers and paint alone, not to mention the value of your labor, will exceed the value of the finished product. Yes, I agree.
If I could get the doors and fender($1,000), from a junked Q, then spend $1,000 getting the b-pillar straghtened (if needed - it could just be door damage), then paint it myself. The transmission is $2,000, and other necessary maintenance I can handle. It seems the car has been maintained (he put Tokiko shocks on it, which shows a general concern for driveability). The interior looks to be well-kept (also a sign of car care).
I figured $4,500 to repair the damage, $3,000 for transmission/misc. maintenance, and $1,000 for the car, puts it WAY over what a 135,000 mile 10-year old Q45 is worth ($5,500 to $7,500 with original paint).
I just wanted some other opinions. I tend to underestimate damage, when in this position.
