Im still a little unsure as to what I have to deal with when it comes to getting new wheels for my 2010 altima sedan when it comes to the TPMS. THere seems to be a bit of differnt info out there.

First off when I check tirerack for rims to fit my car, any style rim I click on i get two messages. first

The QUICKSET is not compatible with the 2010 model. New tire sensors must be initialized at the vehicle's dealership. This charge is not included in the cost of the sensors. If TPMS sensors are not installed in the wheels, the TPMS light will flash for 1 to 2 minutes and then stay permanently illuminated. An audible chime may also be heard at start-up.

It also says that you can purchase new TPMS with a set of wheels and they will come already installed, now my question is, is there anything else i need to know? I still have no idea what the QUICKSET is, however if i buy my whells and new TPMS from tirerack am i good to go?

I THINK the Quickset is what calibrates the new TPMS to your car. They come installed on your new wheels, but that doesnt mean that your car will recognize them. I chose to just deal with the light and check my tire pressure weekly.

Does the light flash or is it solid?

If you didn't get new sensors or the old ones recalibrated it should give you the same warning as if there's low pressure. The light should flash for a few seconds upon turning on the car and then go solid. Continuous flashing is some other issue with the TPMS sensors or system.
