Come on adidas, You've got tons of free mods (some of which you were the first to have) to your car, You are on a first name basis with Stillen and in its catalog, you will likely get some deeply discounted illuminated kick plates etc. You have opportunities that us East folks guys can only dream about.

Why rain on LBCs parade? And using the Mod position as a reason for 24hr internet access on your aircraft carrier????

Congrats LBC. You seem to be a pretty fair and open minded person, who keeps his personal feelins in check - I think you will do well.

Good Luck.

Yea, I stated all this in retrospect to knowledge of cars, thats it. I had completely forgotten that a mods position is more political than knowledgeable, so I went off on my tangent. You don't know the whole story such as, I had been promised that spot since November of last year, and that sort of thing. As you can see, I made a post after that one stating my apologies for the post. My relationship with Stillen is based on a lot of time and hard work, and I don't see how that has an affect on anything else. I shouldn't have one thing because I worked my butt off for the other? That doesn't make sense. As for the aircraft carrier, unless you've been out to sea for 8 months on a giant vessel with 5500 other people, I suggest you hold those thoughts to yourself.

I have been on an aircraft carrier and the internet in sometimes your only escape from some very stressful situations. There is downtime though and there is no better place to give 100% of your attention to the forum than on the carrier. With all that, I've met blake and I think he would make a great moderator.

LBC, I have received some great info and advice from you for the short time I have been a member, you really deserve it, CONGRATS!!!

Blake - No I've never chosen the military as a profession - but I just dont think it is related to Nico.

About the relationship with stillen, etc. All Im saying is that you should feel good knowing you've already accomplished something probably 99% of the forum has not.

I can't comment on you being "passed over" - but that seems more like an off-line discussion rather than on this thread. This is not to dismiss what you are saying - i just think that conversation needs to be private.

(Let the rest of us continue with the illusion that all processes are open and fair )

In the end you are going to get what is due you - until then you will have to settle for enjoying your car and your participation in the "hobby" often being the 1st or one of the 1st to have X new part. You're having a turbo installed in your car while you are gone - life is good!!!

On a side note - are there any criteria published for being a moderator?

this is gonna be a good thread to hold on to.

There are some "fight club" secrets. But there is no criteria on what makes a mod, or who should become one.

I didnt ask to be a mod or mention it at all(i actually asked for a custom sig once though, and was denied, and made fun of, someone made some funny tshirt posts i rememeber months ago).

My best guess would be a need for support.

Theres a thread where some guys are confused as to why ive been moving exhaust threads to the performance mod section. Why HIDs go in Exterior/Interior lighting. When these threads are all mixed up it causes confusion (this we know).

Theres no "promotion" once you have done a certain amount of mods, or achieved a mastery in anything. The resources of those people shold be focused on making quality posts! Not on dealing with emails from newb members on fitment!
