I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but my girlfriend gets jealous of all the attention I give my car. Does that Make me a bad person. She said something about it once while I was washing it, along the lines of "sometimes i think you love your car more than me", so i offered to give her a bath and wax her too, she didn't take it to well... Anyone else have this problem?

lol...wash and wax her too...that's great. I'll leave the advise on this one to Cullen since he's the person I know with the most experience in this department.

Get a new girlfriend. I had one like that. Turns out she was a psycho ***** and I was in too deep to notice it. Long-term separation was the best thing that ever happened to me and my car.

Now I have a girlfriend who could give a damn what I do to my car and how much attention I give it. Life is good LOL

Car: spending time with my car

Post

Well, from a chick's point of view, I actually like to spend a lot of time with my car. But I know where she's coming from. My boyfriend just got a new crotch rocket and seems to only want to ride! I was jealous at first because I can't even ride with him-not experienced enough yet- but now I don't really care. He'll start to miss me im sure :) If she's been like this for a while... I'd say she's a drag, but maybe she'll get over it....

I'm lucky. My g/f doesnt mind one bit that i spend time and a huge amount of money on it. She even encourages it. I was debating on getting the headers for my max or not. I tell her about it and she says. Go for it. I 'm like this is a trick answer for me. She was like nope. Me so happy! :D

Damn I wish I had a GF. But a gf that's as rich as yours would be just dandy.

My girlfriend and I have had MUCHO PROBLEMS over the attention I pay to my car(s), NICO and other car forums, or anything that has to do with cars. She finally got honest and told my that she was jealous of the car and even more that I had a hobby/part of my life that I was content with and enjoy doing. She's SLOWLY coming around to the enthusiast in me. Heck, the other day she asking all kinds of questions about nissans, telling me that she wants to learn more. The real miracle is that she wants a ride in my car when I'm spraying:eek:. Nitrous terrifies the crap out of her becuase she does not understand it. She used to also HATE me racing, but once she understood that it is much more safe to do what we do at the track than just running to the grocery store down the street because of being unable to control other drivers and their actions, she's getting more comfortable with it.

my wife gives me the same line, "you take better care of your car than you do me" which if course is BS but give them any reason to complain and they will.
