downshift, get a used rm125, learn on that, sell it, get a gsxr600. you learn 5x faster imo on dirt bike. you will know when you ready for it.

thanks.....havent really got around to makin that "bike" thread....but most of my friends have driven dirt bikes and do agree that it is fairly easy to learn. so is it just gsxr600 and rm125? or are their manufacture names like kawasaki or something. Just wondering cause i dont wanna sound weird goin up to somebody asking for bikes in numbers and letters lol.

dont get the Suzuki dirtbike, get a Yamaha YZ 125 or if your small a TTR125. Then get Jixster sport bike. Once you feel comfortable on bikes of that size, time to step up to a Suzuki GSX-R 1300(a.k.a Hayabusa) or a Ducati 999R/S

so the Yamaha YZ 125 and TTR125 arent dirt bikes? and would they really be better learner bikes than a dirt bike? I heard of the "hayabusa" before....and from what i hear, their fast....really fast. I dont wanna kill myself now, lol, just looking for a little sprinter. And travis Pastrana? im guessing he is some bike guy

motocross and sueprcors racer. the YZ 125 and TTR are dritbieks that are good for learning. hayabusa doesnt have a top speed.
