Mr. Gordon Brown from the UK gave Obama some really interesting gifts as is tradition for new leaders when meeting eachother...

#1.) A pen and holder made from the "H.M.S. Resolute" the wood from whats left of her..anyways..if you remember your history or movie " National Treshure" there are 2 Desk's made of the original timbers...now there is a pen and holder allso.....kinda cool gift with alot of thought and meaning behind it...the H.M.S. Resolute was a anti Slave ship to boot.

#2) A compleate 1st eddition hand written set of books about Sir Winston Churchil..if your a book junky..to have a hand written 1st eddition of anything would be the diamond in a mountain of sand..extreemly rare books folks...and not 1..but a compleate set of like 12 books..again..another well thought out and meaningfull gift.

#3.) He was given the Original Hand written copy of the Construction order from the king for another famous ship...not shure but think it was "H.M.S. Constitution"..the actuall copy of the order written by the king of england for a ship that was commishiond becouse of a rescue of one of the kings favorit ships by our navy after our independance from england..

Now to the meat of this....what do you think Obama gave to our visiting dignatary?

A box of DvD's of the best american movies...what a statement that made!

He also gave them back the statue of Winston Churchill that was in the Oval Office. . . fron what I understand it was quite an insult to the Brits.

A box of damn movies?

I hope the British realize that he doesn't represent ALL of us.

On what part of the wall of the White House were you perched on, in order to see things?

The day after you kneel and pray to Bush.

PS who's fanning the flames of discord here? I think that would be you.

He doesnt have a point, and rarely does. When he does, he backs away from defending it to go instead with the equivalent of diarrhea of the mouth and furiously works through the thesaurus in his head to try to act like an intellectual.

I tried really, really hard to read that.

If the Churchil statue bit is true, booo. I've got a big problem with revisionist history.

Per the article it was loaned to Bush after 9/11. When Obama took office they offered to let it stay in the White House for another 4 years and Obama declined and sent it back. He replaced it with a bust of the man he seems to believe is his kindred spirit...Abe Lincoln.

Talk about revisonist history!

Lincoln would have probably made him use the back door to the White House.
