The forum is pretty dead this weekend... I'm surprised, but I guess you all must have a life outside of this forum. I apparently don't as I'm watching the tumbleweeds run across the G forum...

Let's get some interesting topics in here to "pepper" things up a bit...

I suppose I could just my way through the holiday weekend until the barbecue's on Sunday... then the Indy 500! Anyone else watching the race?

Just bored...

Dave

Yeah, the tickets are sold out already. $210, $225 and $250 are gone. Walk in is still possible but that's out of the question.

Ah the race. I pick Jacko to win.

I didn't know Jacko was running this year... I think he would only qualify if the pace car had red & blue lights on the top and it was behind him...

Danica!!

My daughter loves Dale JR, so we pull for him. Used to hate Gordon, but liking him more as he ages. Have to pull for anybody named Petty. Wife's father (Dr) used to work on him and his crew. Elliot Sadler reminds me of one of my fishing/hunting buddies.

But, Danica!!

Both good races... I think that Tony Stewart has all but given up on dual racing on Memorial day weekend... it was fun to watch him run in both races though.

Cobra: Danica lives just a few miles away from me in Scottsdale... I'm not going to be all "stalker" about it... but I look forward to the day when I run into her at the grocery store... She's a friggin Hottie! My wife and I are huge fans of hers... My wife likes her so much that I even think that If I got my wife liquored up enough, I could close the deal on that threesome I've been dreaming about with my wife and Danica... now I only have to find a way to convince Danica...

Yeah, I had been away from the PC all day. I worked a 13 hour day, and it was hell.

My cash and carry picker was driving a route, (we're short on drivers) so I had to do cash and carry. In addition to that, I was graced with a ****up from last night's order entry team, who forgot the snuff promos. So about 85 customers needed to have their snuff promos UPS'ed to them. Some of the orders weren't picked, and some of the others were double picked. All the orders had different qty's of different flavors, so I couldn't just substitute a double picked one for one that wasn't picked. We received in a ton of cigs too. Because of the holiday, we got in about 75,000 cartons of cigs. That's more than a 53' trailer full. I wasn't upstairs to help cut and stock, until about 3 pm, so it was a nightmare when I got up there. I ended up cutting and stocking for almost 5 hours. Lame.To top it all off, about 2 pm, I'm riding a "rider jack". (electric pallet jack that is made to ride on). These things haul ballz. Given enough distance they will hit close to 20mph. So I come down the full length of an aisle, and see the HMFIC. I nod hey to him, as I round the corner at top speed. He said something, and I look back at him, keeping it full throttle, and BOOM!!! I clip a hand truck, then plow directly into the wall. I was taking the turn a little wide, and the jack didn't have any weight on it, so it started to drift a little. I crushed the corner of the wall, and put a HUGE hole in it. Snapped two studs, and blew out a lot of drywall. I actually was really lucky, because if I had been standing on the opposite side of the drive platform, I would have been crushed between the rider jack and the wall. Probably would have been hospital time.Thankfully Bade is a really cool guy, and just pointed and started laughing really hard. He came over to make sure I was okay, then laughed some more.

So yeah, that was my day.

For those who don't know, this is what I was driving/riding.

Its MDW...of course we have a life outside of these forums. Its like the first official weekend of BBQing. I had a BBQ last night with about 15 people over. I grilled a marinated fillet of salmon, chicken, burgers, and hot dogs and of course Salmon was amazing, kinda wanted to take pictures of all the food since that seems to be what we do here but I just kept cooking and it just kept disappearing.

I for one will not be watching any NASCAR event. This weekend I'm switching over to Mobile 1, so I'm kinda excited to do that. I thought you had to flush your engine for true synthetics and I wanted to go with Royal Purple, but I didn't want to deal with that...just read on RP's site that its compatible with other mineral and synthetic. Next oil change.

Time to go work out.

The G has a freaking steering wheel. Those damn rider jacks are a PITA to steer. You drive with the forks following you, so it can be tricky going around corners... Hell, who am I kidding. I am not that good at driving the riders (hate to admit it) and was going WAY too fast.

Nope, but the maintenance crew sure does.

Back to the topic of this weekend... Going out with the wife to the mall... then BBQ at my buddy Steve's house.

I miss fork lifts...drove a front-end loader, bobcat, 5-ton, duece and a half, hummers, tugs, and a gator when I was in the military

I am the supreme God of the Clark stand up lift. I cand scoop up a pencil off the floor with one. I am fair with a sit down, and as far as the riders... well you know.

Oh Joe, you know that the engine in the Hummer is now running a 6.5 turbo diesel. They are phasing out the 6.2 N/A.

Man, it really is dead around here. Well I got the M1 in today, can't say I really notice anything different, but my main goal was to do a cost-benefit analysis to see if I can actually save using a slightly extended change interval and on gas. Since its supposed to be 74 tomorrow, and its 70 right now, I think I'll start a tan and detail the G hoping its not dirty by tomorrow for some new pictures with the new camera...

I'm pretty good with those kind. It's more like a BMX bike as compared to a motorcycle. I ride them all day on the steel floors upstairs. It's the heavy, fast, mororized ones that pwn me.

I used to drive a fork lift for Unelko Corp (Rain-X).... when it rained we would go out on the loading dock get the beasts up to top speed and crank the wheel hard and slide down the dock. they were electric lifts and very very fast.

I once drove into a box truck on accident. I made it to the back grabbed a skid and started heading out without realizing what I had done. Along the way out I heard cracking noises from the floor weight being exceeded. I made it out and told NO ONE. Usually when a fork lift drives into a box truck the truck floor gives way.

All our doors but one went all the way up to the roof. Me and the other driver are loading trucks I go past him with a load and he has the forks at chest level, big no no. I yell at him to lower his forks as I'm coming back in he is trying to go out the short door with a load at the top of his forks. The mast of the fork lift hit the cinder block above the door and busted through!! He was fired!

Once at lunch I picked up my boss's Isuzu truck and moved it about 300 feet away to the parking lot next to our work it was hilarious watching him look for it.

At the job before I tipped over a very very old propane powered lift but it hit the pallet racking and didn't fall! This lift was so old it had a picture of some lady in a 50's style tiger print bikini under the plastic that covered the horn button.

We had a Toyota lift at that job too, the owners son and I (both 16 at the time) used to race the lifts down the warehouse full of boxes of 12 and 16 oz plastic bottles. Once we were racing and my side shift got caught in his mast. I was yelling at him and trying to stop but he drug me down the length of the warehouse. I took out probably 10 rows of pallets of plastic bottles stacked 2 pallets high. I took us all weekend to get the warehouse back together without his dad finding out LOL

The warehouse at this job was in the Scottsdale airpark and had been an aircraft hanger back in the 50's. The place was huge and populated by ferrel cats. I ran over one on accident with the lift once. We found a room in the back that had been boarded over that had a old car in it and a ton of old p0rn what more could a 16 year old want
