Ghost locks?

Anyone ever have this problem? I sprayed my engine down with degreaser, and washed it off. After a couple of days my security light on the center console started flashing and unlock the doors on it's own. Whether I was in the car driving or it was turned off it would keep doing it. I unplugged the harness to the security light behind the console and it stopped, but if I plug it back in, it starts acting up.

Hmmm... Sounds like there's water shorting out a connection under the hood to me, but I'm no rocket scientist when it comes to electronics so...

That's what I figured, but it's been over a year and it still does it. I was gonna get it checked out, but most places told me it'd be about $60/hour and could take a couple days to trace it. I'll probably just leave the security harness detached.

What the Hell?!?!?!?! Over a year? Maybe it was originally a little water but now it must be corrision. Do you have any 240/ car buddies around who could help you? If not, you may have to bite the bullet and just get it done.

There are some people who drive civics where I live, but that's about it. I'm about the youngest guy where I work. The other guys are in their mid-forties and if it doesn't say Dodge, Ford, or Chevy they don't know anything about it. Plus I don't really know anyone around here (Cinci), I've only been here about 4 years.
