ghetto way

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

i know i might get straight raped for asking this but i really dont feel like spending 200 on a engine harness just to unload it one time cause when i get it done i`ll be using another persons`.i need to know if there is a ghetto way(but not where im going to trash it) to unload an engine(ls1witht56tranny) with a crate without a engine harness to the ground. And no i dont have a fork lift which would make things a hole lot easier.i`ve searched on google for a long time but couldn`t find anything.

I guess you meant an engine hoist, you can rent them, or check your local craigslist for someone selling one used, when you are done, you can sell ti for most if not all of your cost

taking the top end off a motor is really easy if its carbed and it makes it a f*** load lighter to lift. two people (average size) could easily lift a motor off of a truck with the top end gone.

So taking off a plastic intake manifold makes that much of a difference? Last time I checked, they weight about 3 lbs. so I don't see how a carb'd LS1 engine is any lighter, let alone a f*** load lighter.
