I really don't feel like paying $100 for the Blitz upper radiator hose with the bung for a water temp sensor (especially since I already have the Samco hoses) so I was wondering if I cut a slit just big enough for the sensor and sealed it up with high temp RTV. Would the RTV stick to the silicone hoses or leak at all. What do you guys think?

Doesn't sound like a good idea. Why don't you just drill and tap the thermostat housing?

Think about the pressure the system is under and re-evaluate your idea. don't do it.

Just use one of these. http://www.nissport.com/catalo...tions

I use the GReddy adapter that is similar to the Nissport one linked to. Got it from SPL Parts. Works good for me and is a nice blue anodized bling color. I get alot of questions about it because people have no idea what it is and it's so blingin'.

Either get the greddy or nissport adapters, or just drill & tap the water outlet or inlet.

I've got a greddy adapter for sale if you want it.

How much and what is the thread pitch? NPT or BSPT? I gather it should work with Greddy guages but what about other ones like Blitz, etc...

The Greddy adaptors are BSPT, and most Japanese gauges use BSPT
