Okay so I've got an old ps2 in the closet and a versa! I can get a portable DVD player with the proper audio/video connections for about 50 bucks. The old ps2, not the slim one, takes about 70 watts of power, 72 to be exact. I'm not sure how many watts the screen will take but i'm thinking about getting a 300 watt dc inverter with a shut off if the vehicle power gets too low. Let me know what I need to do. Thanks!

A 300 watt inverter should have no problem powering a PS2 and a portable DVD player. Just check the wattage of the player (should be available on the packaging or in the manual) prior to purchasing it. You can even utilize the audio input on the stock head unit to make the audio come through your stereo. You'll just need a 1/8" to 1/8" stereo cable (same for an iPod) to run from the headphone jack. But you're definately right about the ghetto part. lol. Just make sure you hide all that stuff under your seat when you're parked somewhere so you don't get ripped off.
