anyone have any ideas on how to do this out of home depot crap or whatever. i have a busted up z31 and i dont really care if i mess up the door in the process.

my thoughts are that i need a regular style door hinge, and then attached to the door hinge, some kind of part that rotates up. can anyone think of some kind of metal rotating hinge or somthing? and then i would need a hood shock or somthing to hold it up. i could just hammer in the frame of the door and the car to make room for the extra stuff.

anyone have any ideas? i think it would be awesome if i i could ghetto rig scissors doors on a pos z31 for like 50 bucks.

nobody? im thinking of just getting another hinge, and rotating it sideways so that the hinge opens upward, and attaching that to the stock hinge. it wouldnt serve any purpose but it would look crazy.

There were some "how-to" tips a while ago in Options I think around christmas time of 2003 but they had large metal brackets that looked like a 7 but had slight bend where the | and _ meet. Kinda hard to describe but you might be able to find the article if you can get your hands on the options magazines. They also used that thing that holds up the hatch that long valve looking thing to keep the door propped up. But I don't think they spent 50 bucks for it. I think they spent a few hundred bucks on the materials and the fab of the parts.
