The following pictures are for cruise control on an RB20 in an S14. It's ghetto, but it works great. Maybe use black pipe so that it won't look so cheesy. It is so awesome to have cruise control again!

Instructions: There is another place to connect a cable on your current throttle horn. You connect your cruise control cable to that, then loop it back the other way. Add PVC pipes until the cable's slack is taken up.

Gene, I did the same thing but I used another throttle pulley "borrowed" from a nissan pathfinder in a junkyard. I never did swap to the right speed sensor, so its off a bit.

How does it work? Pretty well?

Nice work.

Yeah, yours would probably look a lot nicer. But I made this in about 5 minutes, and it works like a dream. My brother (Wulfgang) did the swap in this car, and by chance, the sensor was already perfect. I've checked the speedo with a gps, and it is dead on. All guages in this car are accurate. Has A/C and powersteering. Now I have cruise control!

yeah, snatch a throttle pulley from the j/y next time your scrounging for parts.

My speedo is dead on, but I recalibrated it for the incorrect sensor so my cruise sees 2x my actual speed LOL.

Would you mind taking some photos of your a/c lines?

where did you get the lines to make up your ac system???? would be a good idea if you can come up with a thread on where to get the materials and how you came about making your lines.

Unfortunately, I'm not the one who installed the engine. It was my brother. If these aren't the original lines, then he probably just had someone local do it. I know my dad has done that before. You just go to someone who can make them and give them the dimensions and connector sizes.

My brother has his own vacuum pump and did the charging himself. It is charged with DuraCool, not R134.

Yea that is pretty ghetto. Hey if it works and you're satisfied. Here's mine. Stole the cruise pulley off my KA. Couple of tack welds later and a free right foot on the highway.

This thread doesn't look safe. But as long as it works I guess.

Speaking of throttle bodies, I had a throttle linkage cable jam on my when I was driving a Mazda MX-3. Got KZLE motor swaped-in, it was during first week after swap. Was getting all the bugs worked out. But it freaked me out, had to turn off engine and coast down hill and pull over to readjust it.

Wouldn't a KA throttle body pulley or VQ fit the RB , that would be much safer.

There's nothing unsafe about it really. I connect to the factory throttle pulley, and then the pvc is just a guide. If the pvc were to come off, then the cruise control wouldn't have as much authority. It would run out of throttle.

Now that I know it works, I'll be on the lookout for some black pvc, and I'll trim it a bit better this time. You probably wouldn't even notice it there with black.

You should try and file a groove in the PVC for the cable to ride in.
