Don't worry, I'm picking on myself enough for the PVC. :p

It's a temporary mod; I got bored last week and wanted to do this to my GXE. I'll probably do the GAB mod to my GLE.

Anyway, my CAI, it's sealed really really good.

But my GF arrived home with the car yesterday and it DID throw a SES at me.

I'll check the code at AutoZone today.

IF it is the intake causing this, what kinds of codes does this "problem" cause? And will I be able to rectify them easily and get my SES light to go away?

And can the Autozone d00d reset my ECM like my dealer did once to get rig of a "leftover" code that kept showing up?

...

So about the CAI itself, well, installation went pretty easily. Really nice sound, and no performance loss in the low rpms with definite gains in the mid to high rpms. Going up a hill in 2nd 3rd or 4th at about 3k sounds and feels awesome, and throttle response has improved slightly.

cool setup A+ for being inventive. as for the code...maybe it's from the lint in your dryer duct?

Hydrolocking isn't an issue unless you drive through 2 feet or so of water.

Even so, I'm probably going to install a piece of furnace filter to the hole in the underbody protection, just to be extra safe.
