Anyone have experiences with ghosts, sighting or lived in a haunted house? Where Iam living weird story. My girlfriend the other night claimed to see a ghost(little boy) and then it just disappeared, no one else knowing, cause I assumed she was seeing things. Well today my mom asks me if I had seen anything, she said my little brother claims stuff moves/falls in his room and that his closet door will shut by its self sometimes, them my mother homealone today says she heard something coming from that room, possibly the closet, I thought it was odd, told her about what my girl saw, now they both think this place is haunted, I still havent seen anything yet, so Iam kinda skeptic.

overactive imagintaitons, when u are alone u tend to hear odd little sounds and other things u've never noticed when other people are around,

actually saw a very interesting story about ghosts and stuff in one of my science/pseudoscience courses at university,

i'll just give u the jist of it, what a actual researcher found was real intereseting, since most people see ghosts when they are asleep, they researceher found that the actual casue of this is that people would have nightmares with there eyes open, so they would "wake up" even though they were asleep, there eyes would be open, they would see the room, but overtop of this was projected the image of there nigthmare, so it seemed unbeleivably real, it has something to do with some molecules in your head not connecting or sumthin, either way it was pretty cool

I agree with ZERO-S, I used to live near Gettysburg, on one of the routes the Confederates used to get to and depart Gettysburg, and I saw some really, seriously, truly spooky stuff. I eventually made it a point not to hike the Appalachian trail anywhere near nightfall.And I usedto see a little boy in my room when I was 8 and lived in Wichita, Kansas. We learned that a boy had died in that room a long time (15-20 yrs) before.

yashin that is a cool observation, but what if they are awake and not alone, Iam not really sure if my girl has a overactive imagination about things of the such. But that is a science theory also, interesting indeed, but science always tries to prove things with the presense of god, miracles, phenomnoms(spl??) and other supernatural things.

a lot of it can be explained. If you have a/c vents somewhat close to a door, they can close/open the door at random. Also, for some reason, if you open a door leading into a room, it can close the door on the other side. This happens in a room in my house all the time.

My mom used to live in this house that was truly fuxored. The tv's in the house would randomly turn on and off and switch channels (she still has the tv and it doesn't do that) Also, the microwave would turn on and off by itself (it was one of the old ones where you had to turn a knob and everything) The crazy thing about all of it was that whatever was on would turn off right when you got into the room. That was some scary shiz. My brother was about 5 when he lived in that house and he got seriously messed up. He would always come into my room screaming and crying because he said that a man would come out of his carpet and talk to him. He also said that his walls would start dripping "black stuff" down them at night. Anyway, he got so traumatized that he wasn't able to sleep very well and kinda got sick and freaked out. Because of that, my mom and her husband broke their lease and moved out. After they moved in to a new place, my brother has been fine ever since.

oh god man i could tell you about so many times!!! anywahere between a ghost mazda and a man that used to haunt my backyard!! i have seen some freaky crap. that night i saw that guy walking in my yead and i could see the oak trees on the other side of him i freaked out. told my mom teh next mornin and my cousin saw the same giuy when see was my age hasn't seem him since and niether have i. i am a firm beliver in the whole spirt world!!

they do work, i've used one before. and my aunts house was haunted. built right by/on a cemetary. she said stuff would open and close all the time, and she would see him standing at the top of the stairs. she also said he would press down on her when she was asleep, choking her. finally she told him to leave and he did. shes had no problems since then.

my aunt doesnt lie. and her house was haunted. now my sis is the crazy one, shes had too many people tellling her about the people in the mirror, etc. she thinks our house is haunted...shes the only one who does.

my house is haunted, seems to be a 40ish year old man who died in my room in the early 70s from asfixiation from a gas leak. I don't like getting yelled at to leave, getting pitched out of my bed, having lights go nuts, the TV turn on and off, or hear someone running up and down the hall and up and down the stairs all the time. But ya know, I deal with it. Btw, I'm Catholic and those little bastards don't scare me. Bout' time I opened up a can of holy-whoop-***.

I definately believe in ghosts/spirits. In April of this year, i was involved in an accident (i was a passenger) and it was pretty bad. All i remember was going sideways and having a feeling of going up. That's when i thought i was dying because i saw all white (air bag) and what i thought was smoke (stuff the airbag gives off upon deploying). Then everything came back into view and we were facing down nose first into a ditch. I definatly feel that my grandmother was watching over me, making sure that i didn't see or remember what was happening because it was so bad. Also she made sure that we amazingly got out of the totaled car without a scratrch.

I swear that my parents house is haunted. They bought the house after it had sat vacant for 5 years or so. Evidently the lady who lived there before they bought it locked herself in one of the bathrooms and slit her wrists and her throat and bled to death on the foor.I noticed it mostly in bedroom, but other places throughout the house as well. I would walk into a room knwoing that I turned everything off, but everything would be on. The t.v. and the lights. My closet door would be open, I know I closed it. Things like that would always happen. And it felt like I was always being watched. Hard to explain, but you just get this feeling. Strange. We had a dog and he would just start barking for no reason at nothing, usually barking towards a wall or a closet. Which was weird, becuase he never really barked that much. There were other things that would happen too, but usually lights and electronic stuff would come on when it was turned off and things like that.It was a little freaky. Glad I moved out. I never feel like I'm being watched now.

I was visiting an old time jailhouse in Lawrence (KS), and there was a bed made in one of the cells. My sister (she was like, 5) asked who slept in there. To everyone in the party's suprise, the tour guide said that a lady's ghost was seen going into that cell on more than one occasion, and went into how he put the bed in, and he wanted to learn about her, etc. Then he started explaining the lighting of the jailhouse, and stuff like that, and all of a sudden, all eight of the cell doors shut at the same time. It was really cool, but at the same time reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally freaky.

my dad used to dig up indian artafacts (sp?) around here when he was a kid, one time he found a scull and not really knowing any better he took it home and put it in his room.. after he put that in his house, everyone started seeing strange things.. his mom even clams to have seen the indian.. so after beeing freeked out she brought it out back and burryed it, not telling anyone where it is.. after that everything strange went away..

wow its really strange.. i read this post the other night, and tonight i went to my dads house (well his second house he is fixing up) its in the downtown part of melbourn.. anyways its like a 100+ year old house.. and he has been fixing it up for weeks.. tonight he was like "this house might be haunted" so i ask why and he started to tell me the story..this is what he had to say.. he works on the house by himself alot, and one night he was painting the front room of the house it was around 9:30... his hair stood up on end and he herd a womans voice.. it freked him out but he finnashed up and got out of the house.. the next night he was working and right when 9:30 came around it did it agine...so now he leaves b4 9:30 at night.. kinda strange.. but the odd thing is, in the closit on the floor (hard wood floors) there is a big stain almost like someone bled there or somthing.. we dont really know.. but i didnt feel anything tonight but it was earlyer.. never know..
