Hey everyone. recently picked up a nice clean '94 Q45T. More or less I plan on getting all necessary maintenance up to current and maintaining it. Looking to do mild performance upgrades. This Q will be more of a daily driver. Came across the GForce chips and others that are similar online.

Has anyone installed one of these? Pro's/Con's? Just looking for a little feedback from the real world, not a website's over promise, under perform marketing.

Thanks!!! ;)

If I remember correctly, it's basically a 10-cent resistor that alters your MAF signal.

You *might* see 2-3 hp. Their claims are shady at best.

HOWEVER, you're in the right place to learn about G50 mods - I, as well as all of our Q45 moderators, have owned highly-modded Q45's.

Welcome aboard!

Hit me up regarding an ECU that will get you 40hp. Search around for info on the NICO ECU. :)

Stay very far away from the resistors.

There was an early Dinan solution, followed by a Stillen solution and also an Impul solution. Robert Bowen looked at them all to develop the superior NICO solution.

^ THIS.

And a 4.08 rear diff. Second-best mod ever for the G50. :)

OK, thank you all for the input. Figured they were a waste, but figured it never hurts to ask. By the way, how difficult is it to install the NICO ECU, any special tools, install time, procedure? Thanks again!

Wes can tell you more about it, but it's about as simple as can be.

In fact, it's WAY easier than that GForce nonsense. :)

Installing the ECU takes about 15 mins, you just need a screwdriver and a 10mm socket. Just plug in and go no special tools or adjustment.

I miss mine.

Wes has probably the baddest Q in existence. He's a great person to get insight from, and make sure you read EVERYTHING he's ever written. :)

Right after you have read every post Q45tech has made. Yes, every one from the first one on.

At the end, you will know more than about 10 senior techs in the whole country. But you will be able to converse with them intelligently.
