It's a scam, it's just a resistor that tricks your ECU.

AVOID.

so it does not work for anything? I saw on a nisssan 350 site. Can you tell me more about it? I also saw on ebay a controller that you could program engine functions to optimise performance, is this also a scam? when you say it tricks the ecu is this bad? I know you will know much more about it than me, i just like the Idea.

No reason to feel stupid, you asked the question before you bought it for your car! :)

Scams like these come and go, The Turbonator/Tornado and I don't know what other names it went by was around for a long time before it finally got debunked too many times and word of the scam spread all over the net. Frankly, with gas prices the way they are I'm a little surprised it hasn't had some sort of resurgence using another name.

If you're looking to improve the performance of your Z without spending too much money there are a few options, especially since you have a newer 350 with the HR engine. Granted, nothing is going to give the mythical gains of the GForce Chip, but you have some options. The Stillen Gen Long Tube Dual Intake is a nice power adder, and you can buy the Gen. 2 for $100 less.

You should head on over to the 350/370Z General Discussion area and introduce yourself and your Z when you get a chance. We always love pics!

And welcome to NICO! :badger
