just weld the open differential gears together if your going for cheap and ghetto, you will get killer traction off the line, you just have to ignore the bucking and hopping as your car goes around corners :D

Hey, I'm in madison too. I drive a stock white 90 hatch and I'm going to MATC right now. I've seen a couple emerald s14s, maybe one was you...I have not however seen a single DOHC s13 in town. Yours looks very nice Enzo. Wish I could find a clean DOHC coupe around here... Either of you guys autocross? We should meet up, or not. Maybe you guys could help me fix my beater. lmk...

Actually a shop tested the phantom grip on their car and they say it's better than a stock vlsd, but not as good as a real lsd.

vlsd < phantom grip < aftermarket lsd

It was posted on Freshalloy if you guys wanna go do a search for it.

I've heard mixed things about the phantom grip, and I would defn. NOT say phantom grip > vlsd in all cases!

according to local guys (alot of them are on FA) the phantom grip gives great straight line traction, and off the line hook up... but around corners, and drifting, it kind of does its own thing! not very predictable in other words:) So it all depends on what you want to use it for...

search on google to find the company website with diagrams and video (I think) of how it works... I'd like to drive one myself to test the difference, seeing as you can get them new off eBay for the same price as a used VLSD!:D
